Art Center of Battle Creek puts out a call for artists

What could be more fun than creating an artwork (or two) showing that “art has ‘appeal’?” The Art Center of Battle Creek is doing just that. It is time to have some fun and we know that art has “appeal” to all.
Anyone living in the Greater Battle Creek community is invited to participate and having an artwork or two in this exhibition. All art medias are included. The broad theme of “art has a Peel” can be used to include in any way fruit or vegetables that you have to “peel.” If you need some ideas of what to create, stop by and see the “Pre-A-Peel” exhibit on display now. The “Art has a Peel” exhibit will be open April 13 through May 26.
This exhibit is open to all ages and the following categories have been set up: Kids- ages 4 to 10, teenagers-ages 11 to 16, adults-17 up and families in any combination. There is no entry fee. The art work needs to be delivered to the Art Center between March 30 and April 10, ready to display. The Art Center is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm. The Art Center is using all CDC guidelines including the wearing of masks and signing in upon entering.
